Tracy and Sébastien’s wedding took place in the lovely covered courtyard at Brix Restaurant in Yaletown with so many of Tracy’s family in attendance, along with Sébastien’s family from Montreal. Their day had a nice relaxed pace to it and despite the light rains outside, everyone had a great time. Steff really enjoyed blowing the dust off of her French skills and chatting with Sebastien’s family.  We truly enjoyed being a part of their day.

Instead of clinking glasses for a kiss, Tracy + Sébastien asked their guests to sing a song…and lo and behold, one of the youngest guests at their wedding was the first to rustle up some courage and sang solo delivering a perfect performance, with swinging dance moves and all! He was great!! :-)

Congratulations Tracy + Sébastien! You two had a beautiful day with so many of your family to celebrate with you. Thank you for having us be a part of it. :-)

Ok, we’ll admit it; we were excited to watch the Royal wedding today. What a stunning spectacle of opulence, beauty and decadence and all in celebration of the love and commitment between one man and one woman, wow! It is easy to see, watching the wedding today, how the wedding experience is really one of the greatest days of our lives. What a wonderful experience for a couple to be able to enjoy together in honor of each other.

With the Royal wedding being top-of-mind over the past few days, the two of us have been enjoying thinking of some of the great experiences that we’ve had photographing weddings in the UK. There is something wonderful about the history, the locations, the traditions and fashions that all make weddings there uniquely British. Here we have pulled out a small selection of photographs from a few British weddings to share with you that we felt captured something uniquely British. It all seemed very appropriate to do this today when so many of us have been ‘tuned in’ to the beautiful wedding between Kate and William.

Our hyperfocus slideshows now have little clips of HD video to enhance our photographs!! And our clients just love it! Woo hoo!  We started doing this at the beginning of the 2010 wedding season and we’re super excited to continue providing this to our clients. (We wish we could have had this for our wedding 7 years ago!)

Creating short video clips during a wedding day is a really nice use of both my past experience with film and television production, as well as Steff’s film making experience and her education through the Vancouver Film School. These little touches of video add a little spice to the slideshow that gives it that something extra special and unique.

Cynthia and Paul’s beautiful wedding was a truly special day filled with a mix of both their cultures, their supportive friends and super nice family. We got along all so well and have such fond memories of their day, that we thought we’d share their slideshow with you.

And trust us, these slideshows are even more amazing when it’s your own wedding! ;-)

When we first met Jenny we were absolutely amazed at how adorable she was, so it’s no surprise to us that she made a stunning bride. She is a very kind heartened woman too, so it was lovely to hear all the overwhelmingly kind words her friends had to say about her throughout the day. Adrian is a gentle soul who just loves Jenny to bits. :-) They had a short, but sweet Catholic wedding ceremony (with a few giggles too!) at the St. Antioch Parish at UBC and they had a Chinese tea ceremony and their wedding reception at The Fairmont Pacific Rim.

Throughout the whole day, Jenny’s bridesmaids were truly are real help to her which was so lovely to see. True friendship. :-)

Guests were treated to a big surprise of lion dancers who voraciously entered the ballroom with drummers alongside and danced up a storm.  The lions are meant to express joy and happiness.

Culinary desserts here we come! The coolest nitrogen ice creme bar in Vancouver!

The nitrogen ice creme bar was a huge hit with us being foodies and of course, their guests! It was so much fun to watch creme and your flavour of choice be frozen instantly right before your eyes!! And so impressive too!

There was no shortage of amazing and yummy desserts!
